Soneet Kapila named Assignee of Laser Spine Institute, LLC
Pursuant to the Petition Commencing Assignment for Benefit of Creditors, Soneet Kapila was named Assignee for the Benefit of Creditors of Assignor, Laser Spine Institute, LLC (“LSI”) in the Circuit Court of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Hillsborough County, Florida. The Tampa-based institute ceased operating on March 1, 2019 and filed the assignment on March 14th. An “assignment” is a state court supervised business liquidation proceeding similar to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceeding filed in federal courts.2019.03.14 – Petition and Assignment
LSI was a national leader in minimally invasive neck and spinal surgical procedures and at one point had seven surgical centers located in six states – Florida, Ohio, Arizona, Missouri, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
