Professional Experience

Ms. Fugate has negotiated and consulted with homeowners associations, city and county building inspectors, legal counsel, real estate agents and brokers, homeowners and potential buyers.  She has managed and overseen the construction crews, participated in the selection of contractors and sub-contractors, developed cost and completion estimates.

At KapilaMukamal, Ms. Fugate has concentrated on managing and supervising the completion of custom single family homes and amenity centers for troubled real estate home building companies, including supervising field construction, coordination, bidding, budgeting, personnel management, meeting with architects, permitting and licensing, contract negotiations, specification document and contract review, implementing change orders and construction inspection on residential developments.  She is skilled in issues relating to land and site development, land use and zoning issues and project permitting.

She has assisted fiduciaries including receivers and bankruptcy trustees in operating businesses in crisis situations.  Her experience includes development of cash budgets and oversight of accounts receivable collections and accounts payable functions.  Ms. Fugate is also skilled in human resource management in crisis situations.  Her industry experience includes mobile fueling operations, metal extrusion manufacturing, peat moss farming, commercial real estate, specialty department stores and marinas.
