Barry E. Mukamal was retained as damage expert by the plaintiff in a contract dispute between U.S. Global, LLC and Progress Energy filed in Florida Circuit Court. The dispute involved the sale of facilities which manufactured synthetic fuel qualifying for federal tax credits. The jury returned an award in excess of $132 million, the full amount of damages claimed.
